Artemisia sighed, looking down at Orlonox in his dragon form. The herbs stung her bare flesh as she cut them open, acid oozed from their green interiors. She swallowed, all at once feeling emotions she couldn't describe. The want to stay by Orlonox's side, and a want to live among humans surged through her, causing her to suddenly tear up. Artemisia rarely showed signs of sadness, or any other human emotion, yet Orlonox had brought on the more human side of her, she couldn't say that she liked that. She quickly wiped away her newly formed tears before lifting her body from the chair, suddenly realizing her overwhelming tiredness. She placed a hand on the chair for support, before letting her knees buckle, and falling before Orlonox's dragon form. She quickly began the healing operation she had preformed on herself over a million times. "Orlonox, this might hurt a bit." She looked down at his shoulder, and his wounds. Suddenly wondering if his thick dragon skin would be able to feel the burn of the healing herb.
She looked down at the arrow that had punctured his skin, suddenly feeling a hate for the man that had done it. The arrow had barely sunk through his tough skin, but deep enough yet to cause pain and possibly (if not treated right) be infected. She carefully began pulling at the arrow, the wooden neck of the arrow broke easily, as Artemisia pulled at it. She placed her hand one Orlonox's shoulder, before pulling one more, the arrow slid out of his arm without trouble, but it wasn't that she was worried about. The wooden neck of the arrow had left a rather large splinter in his arm, the soft underarm where it was inbeded looked slighly red, yellow puss oozed from it. "Hold still." She said quietly before applying the herb to his open arm cut while at the same time wiggling the splinter free. She poured some water that she had collected into a sheet of cloth she had teared from her skirt before cleaning his cut. The acid smell was strong, mixed with what seemed like his burning skin. Artemisia pulled the cloth away from both wounds before pouring water ove his puncture wounds, and rubbing away the caked on blood.
Artemisia leaned back, admiring her work. Both cuts were cleaned, and properly dressed. The splinter cut would have to be tended after every day until it healed completely. Artemisia sighed, looked like she would have to do more looking after Orlonox than she thought, seeing as he seemed to have a horrible habit of running into trouble. Artemisia smiled, she certainly had been trouble. Why had Orlonox kissed her? Why had he brought her here? Artemisia shook off the questions, before rising to her feet, she lowered her head to give Orlonox a kiss on the forehead before wandering off to a small corner. She knew she could never ask Orlonox to turn to his human form, no matter how much she loved him, it was hard for her to get used to his dragon form.
She sighed once more before pulling off her first shirt, revealing a tank top beneath it, and laying it down. She hesitated before pulling off her belt and weapons, she trusted Orlonox, but still...what was trust anyways? She sighed, tugging at the belt before it finally surrendered and slid off her waist. She kept it close to her new "bed". She collapsed on the shirt she had folded to use as a pillow, she turned her head to see Orlonox watching her. She flashed him a smile before closing her eyes, but never really drifting off to sleep.
