After this, the Ad and Aff team will hate me.
Here's the deal, we need a lot more people around here. The way we get people is by advertising or affiliating. The way those get posted is if one of you posts them. Which is why we have the gold system. I have found out that it works pretty well so far, except it has been pretty slow.
So in celebration of V2, I have a scheme.
(This is where you either stay and listen, or run screaming for the nearest exit!)
For the next two weeks, that is from 7/10/11-7/24/11, if you post an affiliation, you get double the normal price.
In case you didn't know, those are the little banners we have on the bottom of the page. Usually there is a form of some kind to fill out. Fill it out and then post it. Please make sure the site is active, or your work doesn't count. You then need to send me their aff banner code, probably located in their advertisement/affiliation area. You MUST send me that code.
Now, last time we did one of these contest, my poor inbox nearly exploded because I had so many messages. So this time we are trying something different.
1. Make a thread on this board (Announcements and Contests) with your name as the title.
2. Keep the urls of your posted affs on that thread. Try to make it a post a day, just modifying your post to add the urls.
3. Watch your numbers go up and the gold come in!
You will find an example with the thread marked "Jotari."
So I think that covers everything! But really quick let's do some affiliation math shall we?
1 Aff= 10 Gold
10 Aff= 100 Gold
20 Aff= 200 Gold
30 Aff= 300 Gold
50 Aff= 1000 Gold (oh lookie, a 500 bonus!)
More then 50= Special Prize
