Van is a large man, standing at a huge six feet and eight inches and weighing sixteen stone. Van isn't fat but his body is large. He is rather muscular and looks rather young for his age. However, the wrinkles around his eyes and mouth do give away that he is not in his prime. Van when around the Blue Boar Inn, wears a royal blue sleeveless jacket with a brown cloth shirt underneath. A pair of brown trouser are worn with a pair of brown boots. This is his casual attire, however when dealing with the black market or outside his tavern. Van wears a blue, cloth shirt beneath a blue tinted chest plate with shoulder plates. The armor is very flashy and was created for him by his close friend, a great blacksmith of Ellsinora. He also dons blue arm guards that cover his forearms and the back of his hands. Shin guards are also worn covering his shins and top of his foot. Blue cloth pants are worn with a pair of black boots.
Van has dark hazel eyes, a larger forehead and a square jaw. His nose is broad and his eyes are small. He has long brown hair that he pulls back except for a few pieces that fall down acting as a fringe.
Vanakaar is a strong willed man, he is not easy broken and is determined to complete whatever is bestowed upon him. Although his name is Vanakaar, he is called Van by those who know him. He is a popular man within Ellsinora thanks to his popular Blue Boar Inn, even popular with outlaws. Van is a man who doesn’t take anything from no one, he doesn’t care who you are. Thanks to his sheer size, he is able to literally throw out anyone who misbehaves in his tavern. Van isn’t dedicated to Ellsinora 100%, he allows outlaws to freely drink in his tavern and the guard cannot touch them. He is also deeply involved with the Grellon and the Black Market. Van is so deeply interwoven into the Black Market that he organizes arranged events in the back of his tavern. Van is a kind, cheerful man that loves the banter that spreads around his tavern. He loves hearing the tales that spread around the city and around the forests of the outlaws. He is a loud man, who has a specific laugh that anyone who knows him would recognize. Van doesn’t much like the royals, he sees them as rude and too stubborn to realize they are equals. Titles and image means nothing to Van, he is a man who doesn’t judge on appearance or title. He treats everyone the same and believes everyone should do the same.
Van is somewhat impatient, disliking having to wait for people and waste valuable time. He is a man of his word and he will never break a promise. He is an enemy of Magrej and Rashok just for purely being against his homelands. Van will do anything to defend his tavern and the regulars that he has created a bond with. Van is a man of honor and pride, he once had a dream of being a royal guard and he nearly achieved it. However, he changed his mind last minute as he doubted his devotion to the royals and it turns out he made the right decision. Van became the loved Blue Boar Innkeeper and he will stay as that for as long as he possibly can.
Van owns a large weapon that he carries around with him when not around his tavern. A large, dual blade Axe said to be the creation of a great outlaw blacksmith. Van doesn’t use the axe too often and will only turn to it when necessary. The axe handle is long around a meter in length, then the axe head is like a large bladed club. Van can cause much devastation with the axe combined with his sheer strength.
