The female hooded figure had been attempting to once again return to the mountains. But of course, it seemed there was a damn hurricane about to hit. Black Star had seen these before, several times. But this storm was huge and looming. There was pressure in the air as Black Star headed for shelter. In a poorer part of town, the outlaw was not pleased to see a couple homeless kids. Motioning to them to come to her she spoke quickly, "Come, that storm is not just a bit of rain." The orphans nodded and obeyed, though one ran back and brought forth a younger sibling. Black Star turned and walked again toward the center of town with the kids in tow.
Removing a pick lock from her leather belt, the outlaw queen opened the door to one of the many homes and entered. The kids stopped at the door, shyly. "Get in here before you blow away!" They piled in and once Black Star had gotten them in some blankets she waited to see what soul would actually own this home. Hopefully, the owner would not kill them. That would be rather unpleasant.
Black Star stood in the home's doorway with the door open, waiting for the winds to get serious. Even though there was danger, she did enjoy the feel of rough wind through her dark hair. The scent of the sea was also familiar and almost comforting. She had of course grown up on a island and not smelling the sea was something she had never quite gotten use to. But, her attention was grabbed by a couple more poor people looking for shelter. Gave a sharp whistle, Black Star brought a few more people into someone's home.
Yet another man passed, but his garments were that of prestige and rank. But he too was offered shelter. Surprisingly, he agreed and entered the home. The man's nose wrinkled as is companions and he gingerly placed his robust frame in a chair. Black Star turned her attention to watch for anyone else caught unaware by the rain that was beginning to fall. One of the younger children ran up, "Missy, that rich man is making funny faces and acting like he is gonna die." Black Star chuckled at the child's very real concern and picked her up, soothing her. But the outlaw queen did start watching their guest. He was indeed making a great show and making it quite clear he did not like his current company. The orphans were not helping things as they were making faces at him from their corner. Rolling her eyes, Black Star put the girl down and turned, "This storm may last for quite awhile. I strongly suggest that you all just get along." The lord leaped to his feet, "I do believe I shall leave then!" As if insulted. Black Star shrugged, I've had my fill of Ellsinorian royalty and nobility to last a life time. If you chose to be stupid and go out into that storm, your blood is not on my hands." The lord got huffy, though why no one could really tell. "Fine, I will! When this storm is over I shall have guards arrest you and--" Sighing Black Star grabbed the short fat man by the back of his collar and "encouraged" him to leave.
The man huffed and stalked out. Black Star was pretty irritated at him but even she wasn't expecting what happened next. As the storm grew, lightening began to flash. The noble was stalking his way all the way home, though Black Star did ask he come back before getting killed. He was annoying, but he didn't need to get killed. He ignored her and as the man reached the top of a steep hill, he was struck with lightening. Black Star's eyes widened but it was pretty clear that the man was now only a crispy critter. the outlaw shook her head and continued to watch for anyone else as well as whoever actually owned this home.

The strom was raging and the large, bulky figure of the Blue Boar Innkeeper patrolled harshly through the great winds. He leaned forwards as he walked out in the harsh winds looking for anyone without shelter. He moved quickly up the cobble path, leading past a house that seemed very shaky and unstable. Luckily for him, he had done work to the Blue Boar, reinforcing it's structure and stablility. The tavern was probably the second safest place, coming in just behind the royal's castle. Van had already crowded his tavern with the Ellsinorian people. However, he was a good soul and wished to help the less fortunate in such times.
He powered through the wind until he reached the door of the unstable shack. He quickly darted inside out of the harsh winds. Only to see the dark haired woman of the black market. It was no other than Black Star and multiple younger orphans. Van looked around before looking back to Black Star.
"C'mon, lets get you over to my Inn, it'll be safe there."
Without Black Star's consent, Van moved passed her. Lifting up the orphans wrapped in the blanket. Van hugged them in his large arms. He was used to lifting bulky objects such as the large kegs in his tavern, so lifting these small children was nothing to him. The held most of the orphans leaving only three to walk or be carried by Black Star. He waited for her to ready herself, before they would attempt any movements outside in the difficult winds and the emerging lightning bolts.

As the storm brewed and the situation worsened, the castle buzzed with activity. Slaves were rushing about preparing windows and making sure that the royals were well kept and safe and yet, word passed around the castle already even at this point. The eldest Princess was missing. Alexa was nowhere to be found around the castle walls. Her room remained empty and a quick search of the area revealed nothing to be found other than her traveling cloak to be missing and a roll of bed sheets hanging from her window of which she had escaped with to her white stallion that had come to wait in the courtyard and now lingered among the forest for shelter. At this point however the Princess was wandering the streets, assuring that any and all people had taken cover and that the town orphans were covered by some sort of shelter.
Her hands were lowered, gently moving an elderly woman indoors with a small smile as she pulled the door closed behind her with soft words before she turned back to the streets once more, finding it rather hard to keep her hood in place against the wicked winds that whipped around her. Her cloak billowed sharply to the wind and the skirts of her dress wrapped around her legs. She smoothed her hands across the silks and cloths and sighed, her eyes darting across the street to a small child that was darting worriedly along the edge of the street with a slight limp. Alexa winced with worry at the child. The small boy seemed to be having trouble and yet traveling somewhere with a purpose. With a nod of satisfaction, she hurried forward to scoop him up gently, her mind turning towards Allaire for a moment and her eyes grew into a pained expression for a mere moment but none the less, she smiled at the boy, speaking with him briefly as she inquired as to where the boy was headed. As she inquired to his direct location, she began to walk along the edge of the street, jumping sharply as a wooden crate clattered and banged its way across her path and the next thing she knew, she felt a rather large object come into contact with the right side of her face and a rather sudden sting that erupted in her cheek. Gasping, the Princess clung tightly to the five year old as she pressed him protectively to her chest before her eyes fluttered open once more, regaining her balance as she checked the boy briefly before looking to where he was pointing, ignoring the sting in her cheek. A few yards up the road there was a shadow, an outline of a woman as she raced the streets of the market. Alexa picked up a run. She reached the woman within a few moments and the closer she got, the easier it was to hear her calls for the boy whose name seemed to be Babaar. After returning the child, the Princess smiled to the woman’s relieved murmurs of thanks and Alexa quickly hurried her into her house kindly before turning back to the street once more.
She lifted her right hand gingerly to touch at her cheek, flinching. When she came to stare at her fingers she could see the crimson blood that stained her fingers. She brushed her fingers against her dark cloak and hurried on. Gazing along the street, most of the people had by now taken shelter somewhere within the town, in homes, stables, and town buildings, such as the inn. The inn! As she glanced towards the building, she hurried forward just to receive the last of the trail of children that were squeezing their way through the door, she helped them into the building and followed them in, straightening as she straightened and glanced around herself, relishing the warmth that enveloped her from the inside of the tavern. She breathed deeply, her hood still cloaking her face for a few moments and when she considered making her way back outside, one glance told her not to as the weather was steadily getting more nasty. With a sharp sting from her cheek, she reconsidered. Flinching, she turned back to the tavern with a shrug. This place certainly wasn’t so bad and there were plenty of people here. She smiled, relaxing as she gazed around herself, feeling a little out of place and yet not uncomfortable as slowly she stepped forward and began to weave her way through the crowd as she began to look through all the faces that now showed up at that tavern from every corner it seemed.

Black Star was pleased to see Van, though why on earth he was roaming about was beyond her comprehension. It would get dangerous soon. But never the less, his assistance was appreciated. Without a word, she grabbed the youngest of the three and the other two girls grabbed the hem of her shirt. Personally, Black Star loved this weather. But it was pretty unhealthy for most people. Black Star nodded to Van as she headed with silent and rapid steps toward the Blue Boar. The outlaw queen found yet two more children attempting to hide under some old cloth and brought them as well. One little boy clung to a kitten and begged for it to come. Black Star smiled and nodded. No one deserved to be out in this storm.
The outlaw queen paused, seeing the castle. She had an errand there and during this storm would be her best chance at getting it done. Finally though, she entered the Blue Boar with five children in tow. Like a mother hen, she shooed them all toward the fire place. The children giggles and rushed through the other patrons of the inn and toward the warmth. Black Star flicked a gold coin on the counter and with one fluid moment, leaped over the bar counter and ventured into the kitchen. Moving quickly, hopefully before Van got back her and grabbed her by the scruff, Black Star grabbed a loaf of bread and darted back toward the children. The bread was quickly divided and disappeared at an equal rate.
Black Star turned on her heels and moved toward the door. " I know I sound insane, but I have to leave. I will be back to make sure the kids haven't caused any trouble. Hopefully though I ill be in one piece." Laughing cheerfully the outlaw dashed toward the door and escaped into the storm. Leaping onto the roof she disappeared toward the castle. she had work to do.
ooc- sudden plot change sorry, but there are like 4-5 chars who are jumping in this thread. I may throw another one of mine back in here.

The large man, hustling the children in his arms shifted quickly over to his Inn. Upon arrival he caught sight of Princess Alexa. Wondering what the hell she was doing around the village upon these harsh conditions. However, Van didn't have time right now. He quickly shuffled through the gangs of congregating men and women, taking shelter in his reinforced tavern. The children we placed near the fireplace and set down with some blankets. It was the younger generation who needed the shelter and warmth more than the older ones. The adults could look after themselves. Van turned to see Black Star about to head out back into the storm. He rushed and attempted to grab her before she did anything reckless but she was fast. Far too fast for Van's bulky figure to catch her. The words she spoke rang in Van's ears as he watched he dart out into the whirling winds. Van grunted as he watched the young woman enter what was becoming an abyss. A void of nothingness. A place of death and destruction.
Van knew he couldnt catch Black Star, and she was stubborn, she wouldn't come back and she was one of the few people Van refused to attempt to man-handle. The drunks were nothing, but Black Star amongst warriors such as Erech and the Royals were far too much for Van to handle. He was just a Innkeeper, a strong one that could carry multiple children on one arm. But he was no match for trained warriors. It had been years since he had wielded a sword or his axe properly and it had been years since his axe had felt blood upon it's metal. After a long sigh, Van turned and walked towards Alexa. He gave a curt bow and then spoke out to her.
"Princess Alexa, What you be doin' here. You should be in that castle. The future queen must be safe. I'm not kickin' you out but please, reconsider your housing in these conditions."

The Princess gazed upon the features of the people who happened to be taking shelter here at the inn during the storm as she shifted closer to the window, gazing outside into the storm for a few moments. She glanced to the sight of Van and Black Star returning with the children before she turned back to the inn, glancing towards the children with a slight smile and yet she was hit with a pang of sadness for the little ones. There seemed to be more and more orphans each time she looked upon her town. Sighing, the Princess sank down to perch on the sill of the window, lifting her hand to brush at the blood that oozed from her cheek now as her thoughts instead turned to Erech for a moment, wondering what had ever happened to the ranger and his wolf. Nibbling her lip, she rested a palm against the window as she peered out thoughtfully, curious as to where the blue eyed man would be waiting out the storm for she didn’t see his face among this crowd where she had expected to see him. None the less, she heard the heavy footsteps of the tall inn keeper and she turned from the window once again, feeling rather small to the tall and muscular man before her.
Offering a patient smile, Alexa waved a hand at him to motion him out of his bow with a small breath, “No need.” She murmured to the motion as she folded her hands into her lap and cast a glance around herself thoughtfully once more. She turned her gaze to Van when he spoke but she shook her head slowly, “I will not be found cowering away behind the walls of the castle when there are people out here that need help.” She replied respectfully as she stood from the sill once more and stepped closer to the keeper as she slid a hand just beneath the wide belt that sat loosely around her slender waist to retrieve the small bag of coins at her hip, something she never left without when she traveled the streets of Kiyer and this time she had brought a nice little bundle of money with the approaching storm she expected things that would cost quite a bit. She in turn lowered a hand to lift one of Van’s larger hands before she slid the bag of coins into his palm before lowering her own hands, “Take this, for them, the children mostly but the adults as well. I have a feeling that we will be stuck here for quite some time. Cider and something to eat for the people please.” She asked of the inn keeper for something warm for each of the people who came to take shelter here as she sank back onto the sill again, feeling a little dizzy at the moment she tilted her cheek against the cooler panes of glass, sighing softly. She gazed towards the street once more not trying to ignore the keeper at the moment now as she scanned the streets for any one that might be wandering around for help still.
She knew that now with the winds growing ever stronger and more dangerous that it would indeed be quite dangerous to travel out into the wind at this point and after a few moments, the tap of small drops of rain that splattered against the window with a sharp rap began to echo against the windows and yet she still watched for anyone that she could spot that would be stuck out in the rain now. She did not expect to find anyone at this point since she figured that most people had taken refuge indoors by this point. She knew she had no skills, she could not wield a weapon with intricate skill and she did not wield magic, either. She was not wickedly fast and could not climb buildings like Black Star but she was kind and she would run out in the wind and the rain for anyone of her town. She would spare no expense to make sure that someone else had shelter as well. Her eyes fluttered closed for a moment, sighing vaguely as she thought silently to herself before glancing out into the storm once more. The limbs of the trees were beginning to whip sharply with the wind and yet through the rain that was growing heavier, she scanned for the silhouettes of anyone that had not taken shelter by this point.

The tall Innkeeper listened carefully to the Princess' words, she spoke softly and quietly and the banter around the tavern was much louder than usual. Worrying wives, mothers, sisters and the like scared for the lives of their loved ones. The Princess seemed to have the same look on her face. Van took the bag of coins and gripped it tightly.
"I vow to protect these people Princess, you have my word."
Van took the coins and swayed between people, bumping into them pretty hard as he sometimes didn't recognise his size difference and how much force he actually used when simply walking forwards. He finally reach the bar and with his large hands, began filling up two glasses in each hand. He placed the mugs on the bar and they were snatched away as soon as he placed them there. He shouted out above all the banter.
"DRINKS AND FOOD ON THE HOUSE, THANKS TO THE GREAT PRINCESS ALEXA!"
Van called out as he left one of his barmaids to serve the drinks. He walked around and into the kitchen, he began his large task of cooking a ton of food to feed the over crowded tavern.
The storm had only advanced in size and force, the clouds were twisting into the hurricanes epicenter. The winds hurdling around at powerful speeds and the rain lashing as it fell from the sky. Erech ran through the town, the cobble stones were slippery and he nearly lost his footing. Luckily Ellesar bumped into his legs, enabling him to maintain his balance. His arms were occupied, so to was Ellesar's jaws. Erech's well toned arm carried a young girl, no older than nine years of age. He cloak had been pulled over her protecting her from the lashing rain, however he cloak didn't fit over all her body. Her feet were left dangling from Erech's arms and he had no choice but to get her to the Inn as soon as possible.
He feet stamped across the cobbles, slipping and sliding everywhere. He and Ellesar managed to arrive at the Inn unharmed. Erech burst in, soaked from the rain, he rushed over to a table. Swiping everything from top of it, He placed the girl upon the top of the desk. He called out in a frantic manner. "SOMEONE HELP HER, SHE'S INJURED." Ellesar was too carrying his own patient, but no one in Ellsinora could cure the wolf pups wounds other than Ellesar. The wolves had unique tongues that could clean their wounds and heal their younger generations. Ellesar too rushed into the Inn, rushing to an empty seat just next to Erech and the young girl, the wolf began tending to the pups injuries. They were not fatal, but the same couldn't be said for the young girl. Her condition was very bad. A large wound to her head, she was unconscience and losing a lot of blood. Erech's eyes gazed around the room frantically. He caught eye of Alexa upon the window sill, he wished to go over, but he could not leave the girl in this state. He breathed heavily through his nose as he tried to calm himself down.

The princess gazed out into the rainy outer world as she stared from the glass panes of the window, shifting slightly before she settled herself again with a soft sigh as she gathered her cloak around herself, a bit chilled as she shivered lightly. Her head turned as Van called out to the people lingering in the Inn and she smiled softly, satisfied that they would all be cared for. She folded her hands into her smile with a grin and turned her gaze back outside again but for now, the world remained quiet to everything except for the weather itself that was taking a grip on the world outside. Everything seemed to be in order for a while, people were tucked away into their homes or forms of shelter and the people here were cared for. The storm was continuing to rage and grow stronger and yet, she after a few moments, the silhouette of a man reached her from outside of the window. She stiffened, that form was almost recognizable and familiar and yet when he reached the door, she knew. She breathed a quick sigh, relief flooding through her at the sight of Erech as she gazed over him briefly but he appeared to not be harmed for which she was thankful but she stood swiftly for he was not alone. Her eyes darted to the girl against the table, her breath catching in her throat at the sight.
She darted forward, glancing to Ellesar for a brief moment before turning her gaze back to the girl as her hands lifted and she swiftly untied her own traveling cloak before she folded it swiftly between her hands before she laid it to the head of the child were the blood was pooling from her head. She flinched, her stomach turning. The blood from her cheek was nothing compared to what was pouring from the poor girl’s head. She called quickly for a peroxide based poultice of sorts and more cloths to try and clear the blood that was coming from the wound and quickly spreading a stain throughout her darker cloak as she knelt at the table, her left hand fluttering downward to press two fingers at the child’s neck, checking for her pulse. She flinched, the rhythm was weak. She called for more rags and asked if there was anyone around with medical experience though no one much stepped forward but finally, a woman emerged at her side, someone she recognized from around the castle whom had been out with her family when the storm had hit and now she sat with her husband and son in the inn. The woman too knelt at the other side of the table, holding the cloak to the girl’s head as Alexa quickly straightened with a wince, “I should go to the castle, we have medicine there that might help her. I have healers and medicinal assistants that might be able to save her.” She murmured quickly, casting a glance to the window at the storm outside with a wince before she turned for the door but the woman quickly straightened from the girl, laying a hand to Alexa’s arm, “No Princess, you mustn’t! The storm is too strong, you could be injured too.” She woman insisted, casting a glance to Alexa’s cheek before meeting her eyes again as Alexa sighed and pulled free, still considering the trip as she knelt at the girl’s side to swipe away a bit more of the blood that spilled from her head again as she pondered what she could do for the girl here.

Marlena shuffled through the now crowded tavern and rushed to where the injured girl lay and she called to the princess softly "My lady don't go, perhaps I can be of help." she said as she kneeled down and examined the young girls head. She sighed heavily at the sight of the wound and began to dig in the pockets of her simple dress. Pulling out her hand there were several more rags and stitching thread and a needle. Lena looked back up at Alexa and then sighed once more...she was going to have to stitch the girl up herself it looked.
She had stitched up animal wounds before but the were different their skin thicker than a humans and this gash was very jagged. Taking one of the rags she lightly dabbed at the wound clearing away any new blood and from her other pocket pulled out a tiny bottle of rubbing alcohol, it would sting but it would clean as well. Lena grabbed another of the rags and doused a little alcohol onto it and gently rubbed the girls headwound disinfecting it before she sewed it up. Satisfied that it was clean Marlena threaded the stitching thread through the needle and began to carefully stitch the girl up matching the jagged edges back to each other. It took about all of ten minutes and then Lena wiped the newly stitched wound again with alcohol and then looked back up and said to anyone who was listening "This is going to need to be cleaned quite often so it does not get infected. The last thing we want is her to become sick from an infection." and then she stood looking too Alexa with a soft smile.

Introducing...... CALYPSO
The underwater world was gorgeous and serene. The young mermaid lived in a cave that she had decorated with starfish, coral, and any other pretty trinkets her sharp hazel eyes saw. But there was a great disturbance with the water, it was coming from above. Calypso, curious as she was beautiful, darted toward the surface world to figure out what was going on the surface. She wondered if perhaps it was a ship. Calypso was after all, finally old enough to start being a sea siren. Her lust was for some charming young sailor boy. Unfortunately, she would then eat him and give birth to his daughter a few months later. But, it was the way of the mermaid. The brown wavy haired damsel started toward the surface with strong beats of the royal blue tail. She pushed her loose locks out of her face as she surfaced, only to find a bad storm, a hurricane, in full blast.
The mermaid watched for several minutes as the hurricane came closer. Common sense told her to head back to the bottom of the sea, but curiosity was the stronger driving force here. She went dangerously close and reached out to touch the strong current. But the mermaid had gotten much to close. The current pulled her in, though with a scream she attempted escape, but was yanked up into the hurricane itself. Whipping around and around, her body taking a brutal beating, the mermaid continued to attempt escape. There was a change in the way the hurricane moved when it touched land, but still it held her in its cruel teeth. She was exhausted and bleeding from several injuries caused by other flying debris.
Through the swirl of water she could faintly see a town coming into view. Even though she was nearly dead, it was still a nice town. She didn’t see much human stuff unless it was to add a trinket to the grotto where she slept. The daughter of the sea stopped struggling and now was tossed about, limp and nearly lifeless. Suddenly she crashed into something, glass. The wind and rain had blown and tossed her right into a human building. Unknown to the nearly unconscious and frightened girl, it was the Blue Boar Inn and Tavern. The wind and rain were gone but instead there were many people here and what frightened her more than anything was the raging fire in the fireplace nearby. With a screech she pressed her back into the wall, glass crunched under her tail, cutting it in several places. The mermaid was practically scarlet with blood flow. Hissing viciously she slapped her tail hard against the floor, trying to look scarier then she really was. Mermaids did in fact have razor sharp fangs, but Calypso was young and frightened. She just wanted to get out, but she was in no condition to go anywhere. The sea creature would eat a badly injured mermaid after all. But she simply did not know what else to do. “Stay away humans...” Calypso hissed again.

The girl was badly injured and Erech stood watch over her as Alexa darted forward to the girls aid. She applied pressure to the wound and the bleeding calmed somewhat. Erech was absorbed by shock and horror, he had seen more trauma's like this being cared for. Many people were injured and the storm raged on for many more to also be inflicted with wounds. This was no regular hurricane, it had to be work of Magrej or the Evil God of whoms name Erech refuses to speak. This hurricane was no natural disaster, these winds and rains were man-made. Erech bore a burning desire to avenge everyone who was hurt from this disaster with his own hands but he knew it was far too big of a task for him alone. He looked over to Alexa, he wanted to say something but his words stayed upon the tip of his tongue. He did however show his feelings by his actions. He placed his hands over Alexa's as she placed pressure on the girls head. His piercing blue eyes shifting between the gaze of Alexa and the young wounded girl. Alexa then voted herself to go out to the castle. Erech wouldn't allow such a thing. He reached out softly grabbing her arm, she hadn't yet attempted to leave and Erech wanted to make his feelings known. "Do no go Princess, my worry will only grow stronger and is already strong for this girls life. If we must go to the Castle, I shall go." Erech spoke out confidently. He was willing to perform the task until a petite woman, none other than Van's barmaid had stepped forwards. Erech stopped his sway towards the door and watched on nervously as the woman proceeded to stitch up the young girls wounds. Erech's view then shifted to Ellesar and his injured pup. The wolf had done a good job at cleaning it's wounds and seemed to be recovering well, the pup didn't have deep wounds and nature would be it's healer.
The eyes of the tavern quickly turned as with a howl of the wind, the window of the tavern shattered as a human flew through the glass covered opening. With a large crash, Erech shifted through the crowd, only to see a young, beautiful female hissing at the gathering crowd. Erech's eyes scanned down to see a fish tail, he was amazed that the rumurs of live Mermaids was completely true. He had thought them to be nothing but sailor myths but he was proven wrong. The mermaid seemed very uncomfortable and out of place. Erech didn't want to startled the girl anymore than she already was, so stepped back and returned to the young girl who still needed his care. He motioned back through the crowds and sat upon a chair beside the young girl. He picked up a clean cloth from which the barmaid had brought over and began to clean the wound as thoroghly as he could. He wanted this young girl to survive with all his heart. She very much reminded him as Allaire.
The tavern become shrouded in silence and Van popped back to the bar from the kitchen. He was concerned and curious as to what had happened. He looked over to the see the Ranger with a young girl. He knew the people could handle the situation and returned to catering for the hungry orphans. He stacked loaves of bread and gathered glasses of fresh milk. He burshed passed the taverns people and handed the orphans some food, which they quickly gobbled down. Van then returned to his bar and pulled mug after mug of ale. He would regret giving it out for free after this hurricane was over. He could of bagged a ton of coins from this, be had a golden heart, not a tainted one. As Van returned to the kitchen, he heard a loud crach, followed by gasps and whispers as the air was still. No one dared speak as the mermaid sat against the wall. Van thundered from behind the bar as he heard the crash, pushing past people he came face to face with the mermaid. He extended his hand with his alm facing the floor, a sign of calm and no harm.
"We aren't gonna hurt ya miss. Your badly wounded and you need help."
Van spoke calmly with a gentle tone to his usual rough voice. He knew the mermaid felt extremely uncomfortable, she was not used to humans, you could tell from her reaction and Van didn;t want to make this scene any worse than it currently was. Peoples eyes stared at her beautiful frame, hair and eyes. Not forgetting his extremely beautiful royal blue tail as it pounded against the floor. Van smiled softly as he spoke to the mermaid, he wanted to help this poor girl. If only she would let him.

Alexa’s eyes remained riveted to the girl as she held her cloak to her head before the barmaid stepped forward to attend to her and only when she showed that she had medical training did the Princess step back and allow her to work. As she stared down at the girl, she sighed, pain filling her gaze for a moment for the dark featured girl indeed did remind her of a child that she missed dearly, a child she had been forced to give up because of her own sister Tryphena. This girl reminded her of Allaire. She winced and turned her head for a moment, her eyes traveling to the window for a moment as she took a cloth to wipe her hands clean as she stepped to the window to stare outside, wondering where the Grellon child would be hiding out amidst the storm. She prayed that Allaire would be hiding safely with the rest of the Grellon at this point. As the Princess stared out of the window, she caught sight of a strange form flying through the air, straight towards the tavern. As the form came closer she darted from the window and glanced the length of the bar to the mermaid that had come crashing through the window with a look of surprise. She furrowed her brow and watched the mermaid thoughtfully for a few moments but there was surely enough hands to care for the mermaid and she herself had not much medical experience. She turned, searching for Erech. His touch had calmed her easily but now she wished to be back with him again even if only to take comfort from him in silence if nothing more. She spotted him seated beside the girl cleaning her wounds. She held her breath and offered a light smile to the sight. He showed obvious care for this girl, that much was true. Stepping forward slowly, the Princess pulled a chair to sit beside him, reaching her hands out to smooth the folds of the girl’s clothes before she took to brushing the tips of her fingers along the girl’s arms to keep her warm. The shifting touch would stimulate the blood flow and would indeed keep the small form warm, or at least warmer then she had been when the girl had arrived and silently she prayed for the girl’s survival. Her ice blue eyes fluttered closed for a brief moment and when they opened, her gaze traveled to Ellesar and his patient, the wolf pup. Smiling, she pulled her hands from the girl for a moment as she leaned forward and lowered a hand to Ellesar, stroking the wolf’s head gently for a few moments before she turned her gaze to the wolf pup with a charmed smile, “I hope that this little one will be all right too.” She murmured softly as she stroked the pup’s ears her fingers gently caressing where there were no wounds. Her fingers were gentle as she gazed upon the pup with a soft gaze in her eyes before she finally straightened once more, pulling her hands away as she turned to face Erech this time instead, her eyes gazing over his frame once again as she sighed softly, “I am glad that you are all right, I worried about you so while you were not here.” She murmured, her tone holding a hint of a shy hue to it and yet it was no doubt sincere and soft, meant only for the man at her side now as her gaze was averted briefly before coming to lift towards him again as she took to rubbing the arms of the small girl once again as she awaited any sign that the girl make wake.

Marlena...
Somehow Lena found herself making her way towards the broken window where the mermaid sat. As she approached she heard her tell everyone to stay away, but sweet Marlena only wished to help the girl, mermaid or not she loved all beings. Slowly she walked up beside Van as he tried to speak to her, a worried expression upon Lena's usually happy face. So much hurt, it was not usual for the her to see so much pain. It broke her heart and she spoke softly to the girl attempting to soothe her while avoiding her blue tail "Ma'am we only want to help, please let us clean your wounds." she pleaded to the young mermaid girl.
As Lena observed her she took in the girls obvious charming looks that could take any mans heart. Her fine features, though young were quite captivating, her eyes beautiful and her brown hair stunning. Her tail was equally beautiful with its royal blue color and a sudden thought came to mind and she asked the girl just as gently as before "Do you need water?" Marlena had no idea what this girl needed but she would offer her something, for she really was a kind hearted girl, sharing her love with everyone. Lena looked around the tavern at the people gathered inside, and then out to the no drenched town. The hurricane had really done it's job, caused utter destruction in it's furious path.

His light blue caring eyes scanned over the young girl as he arm draped over his small body, his hands gripping a cloth gently as he wiped her head of the dried blood. He gritted his teeth as he thought of how Magrej would react to such a act upon Ellsinora and how badly it had affect the lands. Erech knew Ellsinora must revive quickly form this blow, if they fail to do so, it leaves a large opening for a full-scale attack from Magrej's armies. He would pounce on the chance to take over the last remaining site between him and the foreign lands.
His eyes shifted as he released his teeth from their tight clench. His vision swiftly gazed upon the beautiful figure of Alexa. Erech had developed deep feelings for the woman, despite his knowledge that she was to be the future queen, he liked Alexa for who she was, not what she was to become. Her soft voice soothed his ears, he seemed less tense around her, like nothing else mattered. Erech had only ever had to take care of himself and Ellesar before now, but he had happily and gladly taken on the care of Alexa, and even a young Grellon named Allaire. Nevermind the burden of Black Stars secret which still echoed through his mind. Erech ignored the mermaid, that barmaid could deal with her. His number one priority was this young girl, he removed the cloth from her head and allowed her to rest while he turned slightly in his chair. Facing Alexa, his eyes gentle and appearing dainty. His rough, masculine hands moved their ways towards hers. Grapsing his hands within his own, Erech spoke softly yet a linger of his rough voice still remained.
"I too worried for your safety. I didn't expect to find you here but it brings me joy in times of sadness to see your face. So much pain, so much anger yet so much feeling. Alexa, do you understand what I mean?"
Erech gripped her hands softly, his rough skin upon her soft hands, he knew Ellesar would take good care of that young pup and he would in turn take good care of the woman seated before him. Princess Alexa, was nothing more than a fancy title to him. He was falling for Alexa herself, not her crown.

Alexa’s eyes gazed down towards her hands for a few moments, unsure of what the ranger would think of her words. She was the eldest Princess indeed and at times, the care she showed for her people shocked them and sometimes made them a little uncomfortable because she was such a far cry from her own mother as well as Abigail and yet she wouldn’t have it any other way. She couldn’t imagine being so insufferable and demanding. Her people meant quite a bit to her and while her sister and mother were wrapped up in the castle, she had chosen to patrol the streets checking for the safety of her people and yet, for the safety of the ranger as well. She had been eager to catch sight of him once again and knowing that he was safe calmed her.
With Erech seated at her side, she gazed down at the features of the girl as she slept, unconscious still but Erech’s movements were gentle and lulling and she found it hard to believe that the girl could be in much more pain with the man’s gentle hands clearing away the remaining blood. The sight brought pain to Alexa’s heart. She wished that the girl could miraculously recover. She wished that she could wake and it would be as if nothing had ever happened and that the girl would be able to huddle at the fire with the other children sharing bread and cider delivered by Van himself now and yet, here she laid. She took a gentle hold of the child’s hand for a few moments before slowly, she lowered her hands within her lap again, casting a glance to Erech now as she settled herself once again.
His dazzling blue eyes were riveted to the girl and once again she was struck by the kindness, the honor, the loyalty in this ranger’s heart. He was one of a kind, no doubt and she felt quite suddenly like she would fall from the edge, the precipice where she stood holding her breath. That lingering moment she had felt that she had been standing at looking in at Erech and his life and yet she had attempted to unwind any feeling that she felt for him and she of course respected the man and she viewed him highly within her kingdom and yet, it wasn’t that simple. It was something more and now, she was tumbling down into the abyss and yet it wasn’t darkness that would be welcoming her.
As her dazzling blue eyes came to meet those of Erech’s own brilliant blue, she smiled softly, her gaze meeting his own fearlessly as she welcomed the new flood of emotion that flooded through her. As his hands came forward to take her own, her own smaller hands responded as she laced her fingers to his own masculine hands. The rougher texture of his own hands sent a vague tremble through her and she offered a shy smile in apology and yet she remained silent as he spoke, nodding mutely in reply to his question for words didn’t seem to want to reach her tongue at the moment and she swallowed, finally finding the words.
It was strange, this emotion that she knew of and yet hadn’t believed that she would feel and yet, it was confronting her, he was confronting her with a gentle question and as she thought over his words, her fingers traced his hands gently, exploring the rougher texture of his hands as she leaned slightly closer without realizing it as she came to meet his gaze once more and she laced her fingers with his with a light smile, her gaze searching that of the man before her but somehow she rather detected the filaments of emotion that they shared between them and all at once, she knew that she no doubt understood what he meant and once again, she nodded slowly in answer.
She took a steadying breath and gathered herself a bit but the realization had settled there within her, she was indeed falling for this ranger, no doubt about it. He had already been tucked away in a small handful of people that she cared for to the deepest extent which also happened to hold Allaire as well as Erech at the moment. Everything about him pulled her in closer and finally, words seemed to reach her as she lifted upwards, the soft whispers to the silks and cotton of her dress offered briefly as she shifted within her seat, tucking a knee beneath herself as she lifted forward to press her lips lightly to his own for a brief moment before she straightened herself within her seat once more with a soft smile touching her face once again and a gentle twinkle to her eye as she gazed up to the ranger once again. The kiss was brief, gentle and inviting and now she looked up at him, her words becoming even softer then they had been before, “Yes, I believe I understand.” She returned softly before she fell silent again as she held her breath for a mere moment and held his gaze as well, feeling a brief flutter like butterflies dancing within her both of thrill and excitement just as much as a tinge of nerves, intrigued by what the ranger’s reaction would be this time.
