Titania
The queen was currently seated at the throne. Sprites fluttered around her, but they were not slaves nor maids nor butlers. She kept nothing of that sort and yet sprites offered to work for her, to help her, and she allowed them for It was what made them happy and she was not to deny them. She accepted rose water from a charming young female fairy that offered her finished product to her and Titania brushed the rose scented liquid across her palms and neck before she sighed softly and sank back within her naturally carved wooden throne that was decorated with swirling designs that represented nature.
Her wings gave a small flick and her eyes slid closed as she relaxed. Things were all in order at the moment. Her world had remained untouched by the hurricane and for this, she was glad. She had built this world for he people to protect them and to provide the delicate sprites with a safe haven away from such dangers. Her people were safe and even happy for their families were here, their people. The only person that was missing something, was Titania. Her soon to be husband was elsewhere, at his cave or dealing with matters within his forest while she remained here.
Kaori, the father of her child and the Lord Dragon all in one. She smiled, aware of the baby that was developing within her womb. It had been around a month or two now since she had conceived and she anticipated the day that her child arrived, that she could hold her little one within her arms and care for the child. This is what she dreamed of while she rested here, her eyes closed and her body relaxed. The sprites pampered her with scented body salts, cool water, rose petals, perfumes, fresh fruits, and rose water. They were to be sure that their Queen delivered them a happy, healthy little heir to the throne when the child was born and while the Queen had insisted that it was not needed, she surely couldn’t deny it now because for her discomfort, these offerings were rather pleasant and easily reversed the hormone shifts and sickness.
As the queen sat, she pondered. She had seen the destruction for the trip home had shown her what the storm could do. No longer did the storm rage, but when it had, the damage had been immense for sure. Now, as she sat upon her throne she pondered the work that she could do outside of the falls. Along with that thought, however, she was also pondering where it was that she would linger for the latter half of her pregnancy. Now, at two months, she was finally beginning to show a soft hump between her hips protruding very slightly into her silks. Her child was developing nicely.
She had begun to ponder names and though ideas and thoughts had come to her, the name had thus far evaded her, nothing had clicked just yet. Never the less, she knew it would eventually come to her. As her eyes fluttered open once again, she gazed out across her realm and down the hill to where the rest of the sprites lingered throughout the realm. Smiling, she sighed softly as she shifted and leaned forward, her wings flitting a few times to stretch before she slowly, she unfolded her legs from the crossed position that she had held them in before standing slowly, lowering a hand to rest it at her stomach for a brief moment before she stepped forward slowly once more.
Again, she came to ponder the location that she would position herself for the remainder of her pregnancy for the heavier she got, the harder it would be to fly until finally, she became grounded until the birth of her little one. As she stepped forward to the edge of the landing, she paused, gazing out at her people with a thoughtful smile, satisfied that the tangle and toss of emotions that had plagued her at the beginning of her pregnancy seemed to be dissipating now and when she reached the second trimester of her pregnancy, she counted on the fact that that symptom would disappear for good. She breathed deeply the mystical and crisp fresh air of the Fairy Realm and smiled, turning her gaze to that of a member of her own kind as the sprite flitted forward with a smile to offer her a handful of fresh strawberries. She smiled and accepted one before she offered the rest to the male, thanking him gently before she flitted back to her throne again and popped the berry into her mouth, setting the leaves aside as she settled back again with a sigh, relaxing once more as her golden eyes drifted closed again and she fell silent once more as the sprites began to flit around her once again.
