The day was turning out to be bright and airy, a nice day over all. The chirps of the birds were evident and twice in the day she had spotted deer traveling through within the forest. The wild life certainly seemed to think as well that the day had been nice. Now, the Queen sat perched atop the upper edge of her lover’s cavern, pondering. In the weeks in which she had spent with him, her love had only grown and she now knew ultimate happiness. Along with their easy and care free love, had come the secrecy. This was not because she had been afraid to tell or ashamed, for it was just the opposite, she had been unsure as to how to proceed from this point on. She knew the ways of the humans and even those of her own kind for a wedding was not something unknown to the sprites even if it was not exactly how the humans portrayed it at times it was one and the same, the way that they tied themselves to each other and professed undying love and loyalty to each other. There were gifts and trinkets of all different shapes and sizes from rings to necklaces to tattoos, anything that the sprites thought up to represent their marriage to another being. The thought made her smile and the fact that she had it without the proof stirred her. She wanted that. She wanted her people to look upon her for the real reason for her radiant happiness the past few weeks. Though she had always been kind and a happy soul, she had been lifted to a new measure and she had good reason.
However, while she thought of the ways that her own people celebrated, she also thought of his and the fact that she did not know much about how dragons did so, she wondered. Dragon’s being animalistic creatures certainly did not hold weddings as human like creatures did and for heaven’s sake their mates laid eggs and did not give live birth, that alone was already different and she wondered and worried along side of the prospect of what would come, of what it was that her ways of life and her body would put Kaori through. Surely tying herself to the Lord Dragon had been done solely out of undying and passionate love and yet until this point had not thought of the repercussions of what would return from it. Now she worried for his safety, his sanity. He adored his lands and taking him home with her would migrate him from his home cavern to her own secluded home tucked away and magically sealed for the protection of her own people. Taking him there would alone require her to re-hardwire the entrance temporarily to allow him through for she had arranged the entrance solely to allow the sprites to fit through and no other. It had been weaved solely for the purpose of the sprites and now, she considered bringing a dragon there, human sized or not. The thought intrigued her and both excited and yet worried her for while she wanted to bring him home and she knew that he too loved her, she did not want to stress him.
She was growing accustomed and acute to changes her own body was making and she thought of the fairies with swollen bellies too heavy to fly and the tiny beings the came from the product. She had seen baby dragons and she wondered what on earth it was that would come of this new change. She pondered again what Kaori would think. She certainly trusted him, as she always would both with herself and with any children of theirs and she knew that his kind heart would stretch to their own flesh and blood as well for whatever the outcome was but no doubt she would want to finalize their agreements of love and she wanted to ask but withdrew just yet. She was unsure as to where he lingered at the moment and as her bare feet dangled over the edge, her body wrapped gently in golden silks, she waited.
Words teamed within her mind, words that she would tell him and questions she would ask. She could imagine the look on Kaori’s face when she offered him the news and asked him to return home with her if only for a short time at least. The couple would present as a strange one to all who heard, especially humans and yet, she did not fear this but the thought made her smile as to how two species at opposite ends of the scale could come together in the end and at all costs, would be able to produce such a love as this so while she waited, she smiled. She tilted her face to the sun, gathering the warm rays upon her high cheeks as her lashes fluttered closed for a brief moment and she sighed, content.

Kaori placed his human hand upon the deers head, talking to it mind to mind, knowing just what to do to calm the animal enough for him to treat it. Which since he was the over lord and had talked to the animals, they knew that he would care for them the best of his ability, and since he had been spending more time human, his ability had greater to bandaging the animals and giving them medicines and not just a warm shelter and keeping them feed, which was all he could do within his true form. The deer looked at Kaori and nodded his head, the pain was reducing and that was that.
The Dragon nodded back to the deer and left him to heal, What had harmed the deer was an arrow, and from what the animal had told the Lord Dragon was that it was far from any leased land for hunting, so that made who ever shot the deer a rule breaker, someone that would be soon on the dragons hit list, he had the human's scent and that was enough for now, first before the dragon jumped into action trying to find the culprit, he needed to see his lady.
She had just stopped by for a visit, and he could tell something was on her mind. She had said little to him since her arrival and had only sat and looked out into the sky, meaning that what ever was on her mind was truly important to her, and the longer she sat with her her back to him the more worried he was. It was not in her nature to just sit and ignore him, no matter how troubled she was.
Kaori came up to her and sat behind her, raping his arms about her shoulders, he knew that what ever was on her mind would be spoken sooner or later, she was his mate after all, and he was always there for her, no matter what it was, his love for her would always come first before his feelings about anything else, and that was why he was still there and not flying to burn the human who dared come into his land and hunt his animals without his consent.
The Dragon kissed the back of her neck and leaned his head against her shoulder, his horn lightly toughing her cheek. The coolness should be bringing down the burn of her skin, she was hot, more so then normal, but that could be her extended exposure to the sun, and nothing more. "Whats on your mind, sweet, you know you can tell me anything right?"

Titania’s eyes fluttered open at the soft whispers of sound as her mate ascended the stone to sit behind her and a light smile touched her features despite her worries. Whenever he came around she could do nothing but be happy for the fact and her head inclined a bit and her cheek to turn a bit, the smooth brush of his cooler horn touching her skin seemed to radiate a welcome coolness versus the usual heat that she usually welcomed from him that radiated from the source of his flames. Now, however, she leaned back to press her back against him gently with a soft sigh, her hands folding over her torso and against the silks that wrapped around her form as her eyes fluttered closed for a moment before flicking open once again as she gazed skyward for a few moments, thoughtful.
She had not meant to ignore him and it was certainly not her intention but the time that he had taken caring for the deer and the animals of which he cared for had given her all that much more time to worry and to think but as he returned to her, she found it hard to worry here, in his arms. Her favorite place in the whole wide world to be and now, as he held her secure once again, his gentle kiss and his soft words enticed her worries into the corner and the back of her mind, leaving only the thoughts of which she would need to bring up to him, things of which she needed answers for. She did not worry that he would be angry or upset with her, she worried that she had placed a burden upon the dragon’s life. A burden of which until this point had not existed. Not until now and though she felt as if he would not take it as a burden at all, she still worried.
This was all so simple. Loving him was very simple. For the love that he offered her in return, she could only be the happiest being in the world, she thought and she certainly thought hard about it. She had never had such life and desire and passion for her Queen duties and her people, she had never been so theatrical and alive with keeping the balance in check and while she had never looked against it before, she was certainly eager to now. Her work breezed by like a leaf on the wind and her hands worked magic like never before. The glow that surrounded her was nearly blinding half the time to many people, humans especially for the more mythical unit of creatures it was something to adjust to and she radiated elation where ever she went. Only just this morning had her glow nearly gone out as she stole away among the wraps of a soft singing willow tree whom she had rested among the branches within, ill and sick and her pale skin frail as she had retched and crawled into the nook of a tree for comfort until the glow returned and the warm rays of the sun had enticed her from hiding once again where she had promptly made her way right back to her lover, eager and yet nervous all at once for this most recent trip.
As she sat there, wrapped within his arms, she relaxed. She breathed a sigh of relief, feeling better then she had in days for each morning brought a wretched sickness for a while before the welcome afternoon lifted her once again and for a while, she refrained from spending the mornings with Kaori, not wanting to worry the dragon much as she was both busy with her people and did not want to offer the dragon a means of worry in his own time of work with his animals and his land but now, it was inevitable. The life that they had now created together was something to be shared and she embraced this subject first. It would surely lead into her next subject of matter. She turned a bit within his hold without breaking from him, simply leaning against him contently as she rested a hand against his arm gently with a light smile, her fingers brushing over his muscled arm, the toned skin warm beneath her fingers from the few minutes he had been sitting in the sun no doubt. Her eyes settled for a peachy gold now with the peels of sunlight washing over her face as her chin lifted and her eyes met his own red ones now, her gaze soft and submissive to her lover for once. They were equal and they loved each other far more then they could offer themselves but now, it was like offering him a buffet on a silver platter and as the silence melted through in seconds between them, she finally filled her lungs to speak.
”I know that I may talk to you about anything. You are the one person in the whole world whom I would come to for anything and now, I must come to you for this for I have news that I believe shall take us both to a higher level. My love, I cannot skirt around this subject for the matter is too great but the time has come that I must inform you that I am indeed with child.” she stated plainly, knowing that there was no better way to say this then to say it straight and she was eager and yet she waited on pins and needs, squirming slightly before settling once again as she awaited her dragon’s response, her peach gold gaze hinting a shade higher as she tensed slightly on springs, her breath held for a moment as she awaited his reaction still, her lip caught within her teeth as she peered up at him much like a child with a bauble dangling just out of reach and just as the news of his reply dangled just out of hers.

He relished the feeling of her within his hold. She was his everything now, it seemed. She filled all his thoughts, all his feelings, even the land that was his for hundreds of years seems to fail in comparison to his love for Titania. His worked that needed to be done only gets done for the fact that Titania was waiting for him. He loved his land, but if anything where to happen to Titania he would give it all up for her... He nuzzled her cheek lightly, drinking in her scent. God did he love that woman. He looked her in the eye, waiting for what ever was going on within her mind, he knew she could tell him, knew that she would trust him with what ever it was that kept her mind on that and not on him, for when they where together she could never last long without touching him or talking to him. He leaned into her hand, letting her touch him to her content, he could feel that what was on her mind was more important than anything.
But when she did finally speak it sent him for a loop. His mind was racing, was this possible? Was he able to have children with others other then Dragons!? The way dragons breed made it impossible, but since he was human did that make things different? Did that make it possible? Did the fact that he was human and mated the human way make him able to breed? He pulled in a unsettling breath, his mind racing itself in circles, how was he to comprehend all this all at once? All the feelings of happiness and uncertainty that now swirled within him. How was he a mighty dragon going to contain what he felt, well there was one answer, he couldn't.
Kaori leaned down kissed her swiftly and then pulled her to her feet picking her up and spinning her around. His joy of the moment swirling about him, he was unable to keep it all to himself. When he stopped spinning he pulled her up into his arms cradling her. A large smile on his face as he nuzzled her neck. "That wonderful news! So wonderful that I cant express myself more then this." He held her tight, breathing her scent and looking her in her lovely face, his arms securely about her body. "I didn't think I would ever be able to have children with you, I am so over joyed, my first child!" He turned at that moment, turned to his bed chambers, of what he knew about pregnancy was that they needed plenty of sleep and nutrition, both of which he would supply for her, he would give her everything she needs, everything.
When he lightly placed her upon the straw he sat next to her, his hand lightly caressing her shoulders and arms. What he did not know was that his lady did have more on her mind, that she was thinking about the many things that others would think, humans and humanoids where so different then him and his kind, they worried about children born from a union and not just from lovers, which dragons did. Humans card about legality where dragons let live, he did not know that this child could cause so much heartache if it was not legal in the human eyes. He was only thinking like a dragon would, about the fact that his legacy was getting passed on with his Dragons Knowledge, this child will be his child, someone who will share his experiences, someone who could be more then he is. His child, someone he would love more then his land, just like her mother.

The fairy’s eyes scanned the sight of the dragon before her as she slowly turned to fold her body against his torso with a light smile, her eyes inquisitive as she stared upwards upon the features of the man she loved more than anything in the world and she knew of which the feeling was mutual. The love that radiated from her mate was intense, passionate and it was never hard to detect and always seemed to follow her even when she had to stray from him for work and when he did as well. She did not relish the time that they spent apart and with her mind ticking over the time that they had spent within the past weeks, she knew that there was no mistaking the love that the two royals held and that this relationship was not built from profit, nor from stature, this love was not forced or unnatural in fact it had remained hidden for the hundreds of years that both beings had even been alive for both had existed within the same world together and not even far from each other for both lands bordered each other and yet for hundreds of years they had busied themselves with responsibility and apparently all the while there had been emotions building, the dam filling before finally, it broke. She had come to him for help and yet, in the end, she had fallen in love.
Now, here she sat within the lap of her lover, her jade eyes slowly misting towards gold once more as the glow about her skin fluttered for a moment, a nervous twitch of light as she squirmed slightly and folded her legs a bit tighter but the response that he gave her seemed to toss her heart to the heavens. He did not give her a strange look, he did not become irritated or alarmed, he was thrilled, elated. As he lifted her into the air the glow that radiated around her flared wildly, spiraling upwards to a wild blaze around her bringing her now to quite a radiant shimmer, her eyes a vibrant gold as she pressed her hands to his shoulders with a grin and she giggled softly, her golden hair tumbling free to whip with the wind and as she came down and he cradled her within his arms, her own arms wrapped swiftly around his neck as she hugged herself to him with a smile, pressing quick and gentle kisses along his neck and cheek with a grin before she peered up at him once more, seeming to read his thoughts clear off of his face and she rather found their beautiful growing bundle to be quite a special little one indeed for what were the odds? A fairy, and a dragon, it was impossible. It was unheard of and would be impossible for anyone else. This love was special in more than one ways for she was lucky, blessed that she the Queen had a human form that offered her the means to spend time with her deepest love, the Lord Dragon Kaori.
Any worries that she had held before, were certainly extinguished now. For the look upon his face, his words, his actions. Nothing could solidify the ground beneath the feet of a pregnant Queen more, especially not this pregnant Queen. Years before, in her younger youth hundreds of years earlier she had watched those whom had found love. She had watched them grow old and pass on together and she had watched their young grow and love until they too passed on and with each generation that arrived and went, she felt the lock around her heart tighten. There had been a chance that she would never find it, that she would never find the love that others sought and found. There had been that chance and then, she too had found it and though there had been no ceremonious wedding just yet and though her offspring had been created before she had any representation of their love upon her body, it mattered not. For she needed no trinket to tell her that the love between them was genuine and that no boundary in the world would be able to contain them. The love she felt for him radiated from her heart, her veins, her very soul. Her very being had been created and existed solely for him, the Lord Dragon. She now knew her existence rotated solely for him, for his happiness and the love that he offered to her. Gazing into the face of the dragon, she could not help but smile and here, held within his arms, she felt that this was her true place, a place in the world that she would never give up for anything. Not for her home, her land, her people. She cared deeply for them and yet she would come to him, it was Kaori whom claimed her heart in such a way that whatever she had to do and to give to others always tied back to him. Each moment that passed without him was a moment that brought her closer to being with him again and it was time that she prayed for, that she strived for.
Now here, celebrating the moment of conceiving their first child together, she could not be any happier. She nestled as close as she could manage to him, her eye lids fluttering closed for a brief moment as a brief wave of nausea swept her and her fingers fluttered across her stomach before lowering once again as she settled and relaxed once more, sighing contently. She did not worry an ounce, feeling more like she was in a life time dance with this dragon, and she was in it to stick with it. They still had hundreds of years left for which she was thankful and if everything went smoothly with her pregnancy, then everything would be fine. She smiled at the thought, excitement now replacing the worry that had previously flooded her veins. Now, her cheeks flushed a soft pink, her hormones changing with each day that passed of her pregnancy and her body changing along with it though she did not yet show and she wouldn’t for some months still. None the less she knew it was there, nestled within her own body was the baby, their baby. The thought brought a smile to her face and her breath sucked in sharply, a slight shudder as she trembled for a moment, her hands hovering above her stomach. There between her hips was a growing child, a baby. She had conceived with the Lord Dragon and here was the product of their love and something of which she knew would lead a blessed life no matter what happened. For even if for some reason they did not consolidate their love then the child would still be loved with all the love there was available in the world from her own parents.
Eager and anxious, the fairy pulled from her reverie as she glanced back to her mate once more, feeling the welcome softness of the straw as she was lowered to the ground once more and all at once she could recognize the stone beneath the straw at the floor, quite suddenly becoming quite more aware of things and she gasped softly before slowly, she relaxed once more with a soft sigh as she folded her legs at her side and she came to lean against the dragon, leaning into his touch eagerly with a soft purr of sound as her lashes fluttered and her eyes slid into a dark emerald as serene contentment enclosed her mind but eventually, she pulled briefly from her thoughts the next order of business that she rather needed to speak with her dragon about but this time, she did not worry and even a smile touched her features slightly as her eyes fluttered open once more and she moved her mind past the content numbness that clouded her mind, her breath inhaling slowly before she spoke once more, her head tilting to peer up at Kaori once more as she spoke, ”My darling, we have yet one more thing to speak of.” she stated, her tone soft, lulling and melodic, a purr that had only ever emerged for her lover and now, her body turned towards him further, her hands lifting to brace her fingers at his jaw line, her knees tucking beneath her as she slowly shifted upwards a bit further, inclining her head to press her lips to his in a soft kiss before she sighed softly with a smile, her hands stroking his shoulders, his chest, her eyes washing over his body, the body that enticed her that night that they had conceived their child, and the night she had fallen deeply in love with him. Now, she wondered, her mind distracted briefly as she wondered what their child would be. Would it be a little girl? A strong little boy? Would it look more like her, or more like him? Her heart secretly wished for a child that took after its father. For she loved him so dearly that it would please her to surround herself with even more of him. She smiled at the thought and breathed gently as she pressed a kiss to him once more and finally, her mind pulled back to her previous thought once more, ”My darling, we must speak of solidifying the stature of our love. I do not beg for something to represent our love for I know that we need nothing of the sort but for the sake of our child later, we must.” she murmured to him as she leaned against his chest with a small sigh, her lids sliding closed for a moment as she closed her eyes and thought of it.
Surely it would be a royal wedding for the ages. The wedding of the century. There would be the finest lace upon her body and there would be fairies fluttering about everywhere like dazzling twinkling stars to light up the sky in celebration of the marriage of their Queen and the Lord Dragon. There would be grandeur, there would be life. There would be floral everywhere you turned no doubt and nature itself would spring from every crack and space. It would be a sight to see only once in one’s life. There would be such a celebration that even she herself had not seen and she had witnessed the wedding of the royals of Ellsinora+ as well as hundreds of weddings of those of her own kind. It would truly be extravagant and yet trying to imagine the Lord Dragon standing among such a scene was hard. She wondered what the tradition of dragons was and yet she could quite obviously not see a female dragon stuck in ivory silks standing at an altar and agreeing upon life among life forever with a male dragon. She knew that dragon’s laid eggs and did not give life birth. She wondered truly what were the circumstances of a dragon? Never the less, she would wish that Kaori would do such a thing for her and while she gazed up at him, she knew that he would though she felt as if she would be pulling him onto a plane that he knew nothing of and yet if they did not solidify and represent their love somehow with a marriage, then people would not believe this. They would label her child a bastard among men, a child that was not real. A worthless life. The child would be tortured if it remained human and studied with human children and it would be a sore thumb against the fairies. It would cause trouble for the child and the family behind it. This could not happen. Her child must be protected. Taking a deep breath, she pondered for a moment before she released her breath slowly once more, her eyes now a curious jade as she gazed up towards him, eager to explain the things that this consolidation would mean for him. He would be swaddled in the best clothes available and he too would stand there to repeat the words that would tie them together. He would have to present her with a trinket of some sort made by his own hands and created from his own choosing, something that he believed would show his tie to her, something that she would forever wear and in turn she would create a gift for him, as well. They would be expected to stand before the crowds, they would be expected to show their love fearlessly before any crowds whom arrived to see and in the end, they would forever be tied together.
Separating would saddle them with looks of shame to be looked down upon by all including those of their own kind for the sprites indeed paired for life, most truly not believing in selecting someone only to leave them later. Marriage was something that was treasured, something special, and something that represented love to the highest fashion. It was something that gave the tiny beings pride, to show off their love in a way that all others would know. Their looks would be saved only for those of whom they were tied to, their sweetest words and actions for their second halves only. It was a very highly regarded act among her people and she was curious whether as much was to be returned from that of a dragon. She did not doubt his faith in her. She did not think that he would ever leave her. Eternity seemed like an awful long time to most, especially humans whose lives were so short that they were here and gone before they even seemed to take a breath and yet with two magical beings such as these two, forever was truly forever but it did not seem daunting for it was time that she looked forward to spending for remaining tied to this dragon was something that she would give her life for but again, she found herself curious and wondering what he would be thinking over this wedding, the wedding that would save their child from heart break, from pain later and would encase them in protection and in turn would deliver her a pride that she was all too happy to flaunt. At this point, she waited for his words and in the midst of waiting, she leaned to his touch once more, her body eager for his touch as it always seemed to be and always would and as her fingers danced along his skin, she smiled, her eyes twinkling with a soft glitter as she gazed upwards to meet his own red eyes as she waited patiently for his thoughts and response once again.

He watched her face, he watched as it went from loving bliss, to something close to reserve. It seems that it was not only the child on her mind, but something more, and much bigger, something that needed to have the ice broken. She would start off with the easier news, something that he would be willing to comply to, something that would make him happy and less likely to grew angry or the such like that emotion. Not that Kaori would ever be angry with his Lady, but he would sometimes get into a mood if anyone done her harm or wrong. But as She reached up to kiss him, he knew that she was fine, that what ever it was it was yes important, but can be fixed quickly. That what ever it was he would give it to her.
But when she finally spoke it sent him for a loop. She was asking something that no other Dragon would ask of him... "What are you asking?" He was a bit confused his mind not seeming to put two and two together, he did not think that he a dragon would have to prove his love, that his word would not be enough to show the world that he would forever be with her and never have another. "For marriage?"
Dragons mate for life, when ones word is given it is never broken, not even if another was to ask for him or her, no his kind was ever faithful to there Ladies and Lords. But the more he thought about it the more it made scene. Humans where not always faithful to there lover, they would sometimes think they found someone better then there last, so they would run off with them, Dragons on the other hand did not do that. They waited for one, there perfect match, and only then would they commit to them, why else would he not have a hoard of children already? Kaori was a powerful Dragon, the King of all Dragons, many females have asked for him, but non where right, that was until he had finally found love within Titania, and no matter what he would have to do, he would do it.
He turned his eyes from the walls, looking her in the face. Yes he would give her anything she asked of him, he did not care if she needed this commitment or the world did, he would give her it, so that she knew he was real in his feelings, that he would take that step into the world that he was unfamiliar in and commit to her, he would be strong for her sack and for his child growing within her. He would do anything for them both, anything and everything, he would fight all of the world to only keep them safe. He looked down at her, his eyes soft and knowing, he place his hand upon her abdomen and smiled at her. "Yes my dear, I will do what you asked, we will be married. For you and for our Child." He rubbed his hand over her belly and leaned down to kiss her. "My Lady."
He understood the need for this for his child, he did not think of it before, he had no reason to, he was a dragon and only a dragon, he did not always understand the ways of the humanoids, as they not always understood his kinds ways. But that was alright, he was a beast, and beasts sometimes needed to be told what was needed, hell Kaori knew that whatever was to come he would be on unfamiliar territory, but he hopped Titania would help him every step of the way.

Titania’s smile was sincere once again and she responded to his kiss before sighing softly, finally beginning to relax fully once again. Her eyes settled into a soft jade and fluttered closed as she breathed a small sigh and lowered her cheek against his shoulder with a soft smile upon her face as she settled against him once again with a small nod as she wrapped her arms loosely around his midsection. Her thoughts swirled lazily within her mind now as she thought over what would happen with the wedding, things that they would do and what it would all look like. It would be a fantastic wedding no doubt for the Lord Dragon and the Queen of Fairies. Sighing, she smiled. She knew that she had caused her lover no trouble at all, adjusting to the fact that this dragon would do anything for her. She grinned at the fact and pressed a kiss to his neck, her eyes fluttering open once more as she caught her breath in elation and met his gaze once more, ”We are really doing this.” she breathed as if she could not believe that it was happening. Despite that, she was smiling all the while. She was now pregnant with their first child and a wedding was soon on its way. They were truly delving into a life together.
The thought thrilled her and she took a quick breath, squirming a bit this time with a giggle. She cast a glance towards the mouth of the cave for a moment before she looked back to him once again as she lifted her gaze, her eyes thoughtful as she pondered bringing the dragon to the Fairy Realm once again. It would be done when they were married but until then she would refrain from separating him from his land for she knew that it made him uncomfortable. A soft smile touched her features and she stroked his chest thoughtfully, her finger tips brushing along the corded muscles that were inlaid there as she sat within his lap and within his hold, the one place in the world she loved more than anything. So here she remained extravagantly happy at the moment and no longer was quiet with thoughts for her mind was emptied of important thoughts that had earlier plagued her heavily with thought. She once again glowed with a new light, radiating a soft and brilliant glow once again.
As she sat there, she began to feel the tremors once more, the typical tremors of one dying. Death was so cruel and she was wracked with an uncomfortable feeling once again as it washed through her and whisked away once again but she winced, swallowing with a small gasp as she inclined her head and pressed against Kaori to gather the warmth that emanated from him. She felt nausea sweep her frame and she quivered with a small whimper, sighing as she curled her fingers against his skin and closed her eyes to rest for a few moments and let the moment pass but she did not worry. She did not worry whether she was wasting his time or upsetting him because she knew that she was not and that this pregnancy would be easy in every way other then the symptoms because she had truly found a partner for life. The love between them had been solidified and their ultimate bond was forever strong.

He held her, his hands caressing her skin softly. She was his one and only love, a love he held close. He was a dragon one to love only one, so choosing a mate was a forever thing, something to think about, and know himself, which with everything he knew that she would always be held within his heart, she would always be his mate, someone that came first to him, even his land, which he loves so much can never be as important, even though his land held his thoughts for over fifty percent of the day, he found himself thinking more and more of Titania, and soon it seemed his love he held for his land would soon be over shadowed by his love for his lady. Which was a magical thing, dragons who lived within the human world formed a connection to one land, and one land only, but when they find a mate to there liking they will share that connection to there land and find them self spending more and more time away from there connected land. Kaori knew that that was happening to him, his connection with his territory was faltering, He would soon find himself able to be else where for longer. And besides Kaori knew that the land would be fine without him, the animals knew to stay away from the boarders and the humans knew to stay away from his forests, well for the most part, he would still be about and constantly remind both animal and human, they did not always need him around.
When Titania shuttered it brought him back from his thoughts about the future. He looked down into her face, tracing as pain and sorrow filled it. He felt as she nestled further into his chest, rapping her arms about him. He could feel her muscles tense, she was feeling someone within her, he could feel the pain that she was feeling. Pain that he knew she felt every time something died. He was at a loss, he did not know how he could help her, he knew that death happened and there was nothing he could do to stop it, and he also knew that she always felt that pain of death. He held her tighter, wishing the shimmers would subside. He petted her head, his hands flatting her golden hair.
It seemed like hours, but it was only a few minuets later, when her body stopped moving violently and she sighed into his chest, her body relaxing after the shock of death. Kaori held her to him, his breath coming in sharply, his heart rate speeding. He had been worried more then ever, this was the first time that he was with her for this situation, and it seemed that it was best tat it was, or else he would have went have a panic attack every time. But he also knew that he must be strong for if he was not, she would be uncomfortable; and that is the last thing he wants after something like this. She needed to be calm, he needed to be calm, for her. He sighed softly, calming his own breathing and heartbeat, he calmed himself hoping that she would also be calming herself. "You ok now, my lady?" He asked after he could control his panic and instincts, the urge to protect his mate. But a raging mate was the last thing she needed, no what she needed was was a calm male ready to hold her within his lap until she was calm, and that was what he would do. He pressed his lips to the top of her head, keeping her within the circle of his arms, waiting for her to speck again and calm him for even if his breathing and heartbeat was now normal he was still raging, being a raging mate within his own mind.

Titania’s eyes remained closed for some time, resting. The shift had caused her to feel ill though now it was subsiding once again. Sighing, she opened her eyes slowly to gaze towards the mouth of the cave thoughtfully for a few moments, her jade eyes serene and quiet as she peered out along the darker interior of the cavern before her head lifted slowly and she turned her gaze up to Kaori once more with a light smile. She was calm, this was something that she was used to. Dealing with death had been something that she had been born to handle, that didn’t make it any easier however and yet, he made it easier. His calming demeanor and the soft touch of his hands willed her into a relaxed state and so, she grew to remain calm, her mind serene as the episode passed and she leaned against him still now because she wanted to, not because she needed support for she was regaining herself again but this was her favorite place to be, with him.
The Queen took a few steadying breaths before she came to reply to him, ”Yes, I am fine now, thank you.” she murmured softly and yet, something was amiss. There was something in the air. The humidity was escalating and she lifted her head, shifting within Kaori’s lap as she felt the swirl of warning and change within herself. The balance was tugged sharply, first one way, and then the other. There was a very sharp shift in the two of the strongest powers that existed. She took a sudden breath and slowly, her legs unfolded as she stood slowly, her fingers brushing Kaori’s shoulders gently, still aware of her mate though she was distracted, pulled towards her ultimate point of existence, protecting the balance.
Taking a small breath, the fairy approached the entrance of the cavern, pausing just at the edge of the shadowing entrance as she glanced out, scanning the stony landscape and the forest beyond. She gasped softly, the skies swirling an angry grey and black, a faint trickle of green beginning to trickle through the sky and she winced, sighing. Things were changing and something was about to happen. She nibbled at her lip, folding her hands over her stomach where her child developed in her womb. She tucked her chin a bit and glanced down at her silks. Her fingers stroked the silks thoughtfully, and she sighed softly, turning her gaze once more as she turned back into the cavern once again, skipping back to Kaori’s side to lower down beside him swiftly just as the first sprinkles of rain began and she shivered, tucking back at Kaori’s side once again.
She remained silent, sighing. The change was heavy, and she suddenly felt rather drained, her lids drooping and the glow around her flaring before quieting to a soft lull of a glow around her. She folded her hands within her lap and rested her head against her dragon’s shoulder, unable to summon any words at the moment as images entered her mind of the guardian and the keeper. Magrej and Black Star, each had tapped into their powers and she could feel it. The Dark Lord had touched earth once again and yet, she would be all right as for now, the balance would remain intact though the world would suffer for the weather was suffering further, the hurricane beginning to blaze and she winced. The thought that things could soon be changing for the worse fell upon her shoulders and she flinched, swallowing. What kind of world would their child be born into? One of darkness, or one of balance?
The fairy worried, pondering what might soon be occurring. Within the hour, the rain would drench the world outside and it would be impossible for her to leave the cavern, even in human form. It would be risky if she left even in human form and it was not worth the risk. She was pregnant after all. She wouldn’t risk any stress or injury to her child to travel out into the storm. Things were haywire and the weather was quickly escalating. Water began to pool at the mouth of the cavern and she tucked herself among the hay at Kaori’s side, wanting to obtain her own body heat and not to give in to the chill. If she were in her own home, it would be as if nothing was happening but here, in the human world, she could feel the chill from the rain and the anger of the storm. The whip of the wind and the rage of the hurricane, it was all overwhelming and yet, she kept her cool.
Her eyes had drifted into a dark emerald as she gazed around herself, the cave walls began to take on a layer of moisture upon the stone as all caverns did. She felt the slight twang at her back, he fairy wings wanting to form and yet she controlled the urge, finding it strange that her wings threatened to pop out at this moment as she was currently human. Instead, she came to distract herself. Lifting her left hand, she came to stroke the muscle lined arm of Kaori as she leaned at his side, her head inclining as her golden hair fell down her back and she sighed softly, inclining her chin to press a kiss at his jaw line gently with a light smile as she continued to stroke his skin, feeling the humidity and moisture creeping into the cavern as the storm raged outside. As the minutes ticked by, she settled though she tucked closer against the chill of the rain, glancing towards the entrance once again as she felt a sickening lurch within her stomach, gasping.
She quickly began to grow pale and her eyes ran wide, her eyes flaring a sharply bright green for a moment before she winced and the jade returned. Her hand froze at his arm, her fingers clenching his upper arm for a moment in shock. The sudden spiking death rate was sickening her and she suddenly began to melt into the straw at the floor of the cavern with a tremble. The hurricane was sweeping steadily across the earth not just in one area, but all. However she did not have to worry for her own world, the Fairy Realm for her hard work kept it protected from the rest of the world and the storm would not affect her home, the sprites would be safe. The rest of the world unfortunately would suffer the impact however and animals, creatures, and humans alike were dying and suffering. Injury and death went hand in hand, each projected pain and tipped the world into a dire and desperate situation and though she nearly constantly dealt with small deaths here and there, this was massive. The storm was killing and destroying with great speed for which she was feeling constantly now. She coughed, her hands folding at her lips for a moment before she winced and curled within the straw, feverish. Her skin was clammy and strangely warm at the same time and yet she was freezing. She was not used to this strange chill that the humans normally endured during the storms. Though the falls provided moisture and she traveled past to her home land whenever she traveled there often, this moisture was steady and heavy and it swarmed them like a furious hive of bees.
As the hurricane raged and passed, the heavy rain continued for a while still and she sighed, her eyes closing slowly as she came to lay still, her hands pressed against the cooler stone beneath herself as she shivered, trembling lightly as she laid at the floor of her lover’s cavern while the rain continued to fall just outside of his home.
