Among the trees that surround the Celeste falls wandered a woman, seemingly young and yet grown at the same time and infinitely beautiful, more so then any human that had wandered among the area. Her purpose was unclear to many as she seemed simply to just wander. Her steps were silent and she wore nothing but a plain sari that reached her upper thighs and shimmered with the dappled shades of sulight that escaped the trees, making the silk shimmer serenely in vibrant shades of Jade. Her eyes were of fierce emerald and yet piercing, her golden tresses falling along her back in a wild wave with softer shades of strawberry among them. Her body was thin, willowy, feminine. She was silent. Not a sound was made as she walked by and the scent of her porcelain skin would remind someone of the wild flowers that sprang up here and there. She didn't seem to cast a shadow and yet there wasn't much light to cast a shadow anyways. She wandered all about the falls simply touching and walking, making her way around the area in a seemingly innocent walk around such a beautiful and serene artwork of nature.
She had encountered no one on her travels save for a few bits of wild life that happened to linger in the area but now, as she began to grow tired of her wandering, she sank to perch atop a boulder just at the edge of the wading pond at the base of the waterfall that roared only feet away. The rippling, pristine water that rippled at her feet was crystal clear and no doubt cool and inviting. As she lowered her bare feet to dip her toes into the water, she smiled, a sign that brought forth wild and untamable beauty that seemed to fuel the plant life in the area. The roses more enticing, the trees more shaded and inviting, the grass a little greener. She sighed, satisfied, a soft breeze lifting her honey tresses from her shoulders for a moment before letting them fall along her back once more. She splashed the water lightly with her feet, glancing across the glittering surface of the water for a brief moment before she lowered her gaze to her lap instead as she hummed softly to herself, a melodic song that lifted into the air as her voice grew stronger and louder and yet never leaving it's melodic enticing sing-song tone.
Finally, as the sky changed colors and the day's heat began to break, she seemed to settle and yet grow bored with her activities and she stood, her feet still submerged within the crystal water as she gazed around herself thoughtfully, her emerald eyes shifting slowly into a molten gold as she blinked, her skin seeming to take on a soft glow as she lifted her hands to pull away her honey strands of hair from her high boned cheeks flushed with a soft hue of pink as if she were wearing blush. As she gazed around herself, the glow grew stronger before she turned to submerge her entire body beneath the surface, her golden tresses seeming to shift from honey and strawberry hues to an undying shade of rich gold as it hit the surface and dampened before sinking with her body as she slid beneath the surface, her legs pulling back before kicking outwards as her slender hands reached forwards to propell herself quickly through the water and closer towards where the water hit the pond before draining outwards, the one point in the pond where the pressure grew rather strongly. The immense fall of the water pounding into the pond and yet that was her ultimate destination as she disappeared beneath the surface, propelling herself beneath the crashing downfall of water. The last sight to be seen of the woman was a flash of jade beneath the surface before nothing.
As she made her way upwards along the stone boulders to the other side, she straightened, brushing her golden hair back along her back before she turned her gaze into the shadows of the stone, taking a deep breath as she wrung the water from her tresses and approached the boulders where seemingly nothing but cracks of shadow eminated, slick and glossy from constant water and mist clinging to the rock. Moisture making the rocks slick and dangerous for any rather normal human to climb and yet she managed to keep her footing with ease, smoothing her sari which now clung to her skin like a wet rag sticks to skin, soft and yet wet, nearly feeling like the water itself. She sighed softly, resting her fingers against the stone for a brief moment before she lowered to her knees, tucking her feet beneath herself, her eyes drifting closed slowly now as she ducked her head. Shrouded from view by the falling water and the shadows that lingered at the back of the falls, she began to change. Her once human body began to shift, the glow around herself beginning to grow ever more vibrant to a nearly blinding state as the human body seemed sucked away into a vortex from a shred of the sun, blazing yet without heat and after only a few moments, there tinkled a soft jingle of bells and then, silence. As the light faded, there where the woman had stood remained a tiny fairy. Her jade wings glittered softly even with the lack of light. The crown that laced her head was studded with fantastic gems of diamond, emerald, and jade yet her face was equally as beautiful as the crown that adorned her head. The wraps of the highest silks wove around her small form and once again, she was barefoot. She smiled softly, her hands held to either side with a dainty stretch of her fingers, gold rings littered her fingers and yet not tacky. She sighed softly, glancing back briefly as she inhaled, peering from around the waterfall itself. Everything was soft, wonderful. She could sense the unease from those of the evil, the fact that they were struggling with themselves brought a stressful tension to her bodice and she winced, closing her eyes but she stood strong and took a steadying breath as she turned and fluttered into the air, flitting forward to the rocks once more, a hand resting against the slick stone as she murmured softly, nearly silently as she sang yet at her size, her tone seemed to any larger ear as nothing more then a soft tinkle of bells but within moments, mythical hyroglyphs fashioned in an instantaneous blink, each prjecting itself in it's proper place among the circle of stone before they flashed away and darkness resumed, a soft growl and finally, the doorway to her fairy realm had opened. She flitted forward once more, a faint trail of shimmer left behind momentarily that was specified for the queen herself, leaving a trail where she had been but only for a moment before it too dispersed as she just had through the entrance to her world before the soft growl resumed and the doorway was closed once again. No doubt this entrance had been created only for the people of fairy blood. The sprite's that followed her command as the portal was only opened when one of her kind in their size offered the short song that whispered to the portal's key of which would open the small entrance created only for the sprites.
As she fluttered forward she came face to face with the magical reality of her own realm, her home. The world cast in a soft haze that seemed to teem with the life style of the sprites. Homes built into trees as well as some on the ground, those that were daring enough to face what ever may wander there but still there was not much fear to be felt for she had created this place for them, a haven for her people where they may live without fear. A portal for which only their kind could open and further more, could fit past. This was the home of her people. As her wings fluttered, the faintest of wind released behind her as she lifted further into the air, her gaze sweeping the landscape to the sight of her people who were scattered about, immersed in their own activities just then. With a soft smile on her face, her fingers laced together and her hands folded over her chest as she lifted upwards, the folds of her silks whisping around in the wind as the serene sence of calm washed over her again. For, the only danger that they could fall into was the danger that enveloped them once the sprites set foot out of this realm. This safe and peaceful realm that had been created solely for them and yet when she thought of why such a thing was not done for all races such as humans and mermaids she remembered, the balance. Somehow, creating this realm for these delicate winged creatures had held the balance in place and though they were indeed kept safe while the other races battled for survival, it was still all right. With this in mind, she carried herself forward towards her own retreat, at peace with the rest of her realm as she traveled to perch upon her own throne with a serene state of mind.
Peaceful and undisturbed, the wild wicken wood of the fairy realm was untouched, unchopped by the hands of the humans, the pristine waters glittering like liquid diamonds. The soft haze that lingered through out the lands shimmered with a colorful hue that seemed to add to the magical touch that lit the world with an attractive atmosphere and as the queen sat atop her throne carved solely for the purpose of her, she pondered things, her mind always seemingly teeming with thoughts, her knowledge vast and immense, but for now, silent as the happenings of her world remained at peace.
