Name: Asterion
Age: 35
Gender: Male
Species: Minotaur
Nationality: Ellsinora
Looks:
Asterion's head is totally detached, aesthetically, from his body. Whereas neck down he is a human, like all Minotaurs, neck up, according to the demands of his species, he has the head of a bull. The detachment could be worse, though, because despite the obvious cut off point, Asterion's head and skin somewhat blend together, considering their palettes both follow a similar colour scheme. Asterion's head is a smooth creme colour, which makes other colours stand out magnificently against the fur. Asterion sometimes takes advantage of this contrast before he goes into battle, painting his face with makeshift pigments derived from berries and other plants.
Apart from the artificial colours that Asterion puts on his face, he also has some spectacular plumage on his own. He had bright blue eyes that are set slightly too wide apart, and a blossom pink nose. Both of these characteristics, along with his creme fur, make the Minotaur deceivingly innocent, which he used to use to his full advantage, but is falling out of the habit of doing so.
The portion of Asterion's body below the neck is a lot more appealing to the general population; he is well muscled, and since he does not often wear a shirt (as not many will fit over his head) his muscles are always out for one to see. As well as being well muscled, the Minotaur is a caramel color, his skin used to being out in the sun, and therefore tanning beautifully whenever the Minotaur spends time outside, which is nearly always, as he feels constrained when he is indoors.
Personality: Asterion was a rather cold exterior, one that correlates quite perfect with his rather intimidating exterior. There are two main reason why the Minotaur puts up this shield around himself. The first, more prominent reason, is the fact that after his father's death, Asterion did not want anyone else to get close to him, so that they could hurt him, accidentally or on purpose. The second reason why the Minotaur pretends to be someone he is not (with strangers, anyway) is the fact that he wants to be respected, and he feels that unless he is being intimidating and cold, he will not be respected.
If you were to get close to Asterion by any chance, you would notice that despite his imposing appearance and personality, you would notice that he is really a huge soft. Asterion's affections, however, are hard to earn, due to the first point that explained his coldness. When you do get close to the Minotaur, though, he is extremely loyal, and if you manage to get close to him in a romantic way, you will find he is romantic and affectionate, if not a bit overprotective.
History: Asterion's story starts (or at least the interesting part) on a long June night 17 years ago. The day has been a hard one for the young Minotaur, as his father was killed in a rather bloody battle that same day. He got drunk, dead drunk, seeing as this was his first time drinking and he was drowning himself in beer to melt away the sorrow. That was when his life started to change, even in little ways. In order to avenge his father, Asterion started to take combat lessons from anyone who would give them to him. When Asterion met Black Star, he was a well honed fighting machine, and when he met Tryphena, his life just got a little bit better.
Items/Pets:
- Asterion has a battle axe, the handle made of dark oak wood, and the blade made out of silver, that can be easily thrown or used in hand to hand combat. He ties a bright red strip of cloth around it to identify the axe in case it ever got lost in the thick of combat.
