The fairy realm was buzzing with activity. The world was lit softly and the atmosphere was not the best. The world was in turmoil just outside of the realm and the Queen had become very ill with the tip of the balance. Before she could recover the world had been thrown into chaos and she had become very sick. Amidst her illness she was indeed also pregnant, now hours from giving birth and the fact that at any moment she could go into labor worried the Queen but she didn’t have much time to worry over it for the fact that she was bed ridden and ill. Many of the sprites about the realm tried to prepare remedies and medicines to try and help the Queen but nothing could cure the illness that she had succumbed to. She could no longer fly for the weight of her pregnancy had brought her to the ground and now, where she laid within her castle she laid among the silks and covers that were layered over her body. Her swollen stomach protruded against the silken sheets. The Queen currently slept lightly for rest was hard for her at the moment. She had pondered on more than one occasion what had happened to Kaori and Thera but by now, she wasn’t pondering it anymore. Now, she was simply worried for her child as she laid ill in bed.
The fairy Queen had lost a bit of weight. Her features were pale and her glow was waning. Her normally bright and vibrant hair was soft still, but dull. It had lost most of its sheen and her limbs were willowy and slender. The castle walls had been sprouted up around herself. The open areas and windows were draped heavily with ivy to offer the Queen privacy. The room she laid in was dimmed with only a few candles and orbs of light burning silently in the corners. The atmosphere was warm and kept so to keep the queen in the best of conditions through her pregnancy. She knew that the birth of her child was approaching and within hours she would more than likely be in labor with her first born. She was well aware of the offset of the balance. She was aware that evil had taken over the world and apparently so was Kaori. She had not traveled from the realm in weeks, months even. The heavier she got the less she could fly and the realm offered her a safe haven to endure her pregnancy in solace and not danger. It took a lot of magic on her part to get Kaori into the realm. She held the ultimate power to allow the dragon in and when he wandered out, he was at the mercy of the illness that had over taken her. She had no knowledge of whether he was there at the moment or not and she didn’t question it. She had not much time to ponder the fact but the realization was that there were many sprites fluttering in and out of the room keeping the Queen hydrated and fed and awake now and again, checking for signs of labor before fluttering out once again. One female sprite still lingered almost constantly however to keep an eye on Titania.
Now, as the Queen laid in bed, she quite suddenly took a breath. There was a slight flicker of pain within her and she gasped, stirring from sleep rather suddenly. She shifted, turning her head to either side before slowly, she lifted from the pillows a bit as the sprite fluttered forward and arranged a few layers of pillows at her back before settling the Queen back against the pillows once again. She was beginning to show signs of labor starting. The Queen’s body tensed and relaxed before she sighed and sank back against the pillows. She felt weak and exhausted already which frightened her and she feared that her birthing would be challenging, she was growing frightened of giving birth to her child by this point as she feared bringing her child into a world such as this. She was sick from the off balance and she didn’t have enough strength to rebalance the world at the moment. Her hands fluttered upwards to rest against her stomach as she once again relaxed with a sigh and closed her eyes. She laid her head back against the pillows before she fell still again as she closed her eyes and came to rest for a little while longer.
